Yonder Horizon
By Yva Agcaoili
Where the westerlies meet the willow trees And the yawning sun is warm, Where the cool blue pools lap at our feet, There, on yonder horizon. The moss is soft where breezes play, The sunbeams tickle our cheeks And with the wind, we laugh all day Over yon horizon. The purple heron flies ashore, While the egrets waltz among the stones. The air is sweet, the yellow orb soars, and a rainbow paints the horizon. We tilt our heads, the sky winks its eyes, in hues of violet and orange, and dance among the daisy weeds like afterglow diamonds. We settle into our mossy beds At the feet of the Willow King Green. The waving stars kiss us all goodnight Over yon horizon. Then Sun is pulling up the sheets Of a deep-sea sky and dew for the dawn; and the stars are singing lullabies Over yon horizon.

This was so beautiful - you captured it all in such lovely poetic language, and I loved the throbbing, dancing, rhythmic feel to the whole thing. <3 (Congratulations on having your poem published in the Kingfisher, Yva!!!)
